Leapfrog Case Study on Brand Strategy | US Market Entry Approach for one of India’s Leading Diamond Exporters

One of India’s largest diamond jewelery exporter wished to develop a US Market Entry approach for a completely new line of diamond jewelery. They needed to assess the US market’s readiness for this jewelery line as well develop a competitive Entry Approach.

The first step involved Mapping the market, via an understanding of the market structure and dynamics – product segments, product types, channels etc. This was done by studying secondary data reports on the Jewellery market as well as print advertising of fashion/ luxury Jewellery brands. The understanding was supplemented by in store visits in one of the biggest jewellery consumption centres in the US – that enabled us to make a qualitative assessment of the opportunity in the US.

Encouraged by the positive picture that emerged, we moved onto developing  powerful entry possibilities that detailed how the new jewellery line could be launched for dramatic market success
